York Regional Police (and Udora’s) Chief Eric Joliffe speaks to the Canadian Ethnic Media Association (CEMA)

Chief Joliffe started off his comments before the official presentation by saying to a lady, "the justice system is a failure." He went on to explain part of his statement. He had been to Ottawa to lobby the politicians that "the prostitute freedom law" be repealed because it enslaves the prostitutes who he sees as victims and allows the pimps free reign to ply their trade which is to victimize the prostitutes.

Chief Joliffe added that he had received support from the First Nations leaders who state that seven hundred of their young girls have gone missing.

Speaking of his force Chief Jolliffe has a problem. He has the the third fastest growing population in Canada, the largest in Ontario, 17 percent of Greater Toronto Area (GTA), 1.1 million people, the sixth largest municipality in Canada. It's expected to grow an additional 41 percent (to 1.6 million) by 2031. In 2011 forty three percent of the population were visible minorities. The police force does not reflect that same percentage. He needs to hire the same proportion of officers.

The helicopter the police force has (that we often see flying over Eesti Kodu) is equipped with heat seeking sensor devices for looking for lost children in York Region's vast terrain. It also rents the helicopter to other forces for $ 2,500 per hour. And Chief Jolliffe promises to look after the Estonian territory in Udora as well.
