The Toronto municipal elections are heating up

With only weeks to go until the Toronto city elections, the original leader, Olivia Chow, has slipped to third place, the mayor surrogate, Doug Ford, is at second place and leading by a fair amount is John Tory. Tory is at 42%, Ford is at 30% and Chow is at 19%.

Tory is reaching out and connecting with both Liberals and Conservatives as he travels throughout the city with his election team in full pitch. Tory is taking the high road while Doug Ford is coming across like a thug. Chow keeps scratching away at Tory's transportation plan, demanding specifics. Chow is the socialist while Ford is the hard right winger while Tory is the middle of the road elegant gentleman. If images count, Tory has it made.

Tory's only downfall is that he is a previous loser on the political front, once narrowly against Mayor David Miller, secondly when he lost to Dalton McGuinty in what was then Kathleen Wynne's riding then as the leader of the provincial Progressive Conservatives.

Doug Ford has some major dirt on his shoes when between the ages of fifteen and twenty two he was, reported by the Globe and Mail, a heroin wholesaler.

Chow is running the New Democratic Party downward spiral in Toronto which started in the recent provincial election when they lost two safe seats.

The election is on October 27th when the final poll will come in.
