The Estonian National Male Choir performed for the residents of the Estonian-Canadian retirement home

On Thursday, May 21, the Estonian National Male Choir joined Her Excellence, Gita Kalmet Estonian Ambassador to honour Estonian-Canadian composer Roman Toi (about to turn 99), a resident of the Estonian-Canadian Retirement Home but still teaching.

The choir which numbers 50 plus is the world's largest professional male choir, conducted by Mikk Üleoja and making its first Canadian tour in 20 years when it performed at University of Toronto's Convocation Hall, in the company of Estonian musical icon the late Gustav Ernesaks.
