NDP candidate meets NEPMCC

Jennifer Hollett, NDP candidate who is running against Ukranian (Liberal) Canadian Christia Freeland in University-Rosedale spoke to the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC).
NEPMCC President and CEO, Thomas Saras was expecting also to have Liberal leader Justin Trudeau but on the last minute he cancelled, claiming he was going to be in Kitchener (his bus was seen in downtown Toronto by members of NEPMCC coming to the meeting half an hour before). Neeedless to say Saras was not happy.

Hollett was an elegant lady but not as degreed as Freeland, she only has a degree from Harvard in Boston. She was pleased when Estonian Life referred the race in University-Rosedale as “the battle of the brains”.
Hollett has been an award winning broadcaster at the CBC, CTV and Much Music for the past ten years and she is a local resident of the riding. She, like all candidates, follows the party line but is enthusiastic about the NDP opposing Bill-51, the anti terrorism set of laws. There is no explanation of how they would fight terrorism especially since the NDP was to bring in refugees from the Middle East sight unseen, a policy many sees as risky.
