National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada declares its pavilion at the CNE officially open


The NEPMCC display at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) officially opened on Sunday August 17, 2014 in the presence of politicians and CNE brass. President of the NEPMCC, Tom Saras, introduced all of the guests on the International Pavilion of the Direct Energy Centre after cutting the ribbon at the display.

The persons at the event were politicians Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly, Mayoral front runner John Tory, Toronto Police Deputy Chief Peter Sloly, US Consulate public affairs chief Hilary Renner, CNE Chair Brian Ashton, General Manager Paul Bedner and journalism brass among other notables.

The display shows off Estonian Life paper on the wall and copies on the table.

The EX runs until September 1. The last weekend is the air show which features the Snowbirds aerobatic team and an Antonov An2 utility bi-plane, of which Estonians had several at the beginning of re-independence.
