“Interest in the Short Film Competition continues to grow. Last year we were pleased to have an increase in the number of youth entrants,” said EstDocs Short Documentary Film Competition Director, Tauno Mölder. “Entries continue to arrive from the world over, though mainly from Canada and Estonia.”
Films are accepted from both professionals and aspiring filmmakers and entrants do not have to be of Estonian descent.
“One does not need to be Estonian to appreciate a good story with an Estonian theme,” Mölder added. “We've had a number of films by non-Estonians who have offered a different and refreshing point of view.”
